The Electric Junction model depicts a typical neighborhood scene
and allows the demonstration of many electrical contact hazards
with overhead and underground electrical service.
The model is powered by a transformer which produces a 7,5000
volt, 30 milliamp current that creates dramatic arcs when
contacts are made.
Students get to see first-hand what can happen when a ladder
makes electrical contact, a shovel digs into underground service,
a kite gets caught in a line, and many other everyday situations
where safety can prevent serious accidents.
