Annual Meeting

IEC bylaws require an annual meeting to be held each year. In 2021, IEC held its 82nd annual meeting, although it was conducted virtually due to the pandemic. The IEC annual meeting is one of the longest-held traditions in the area.

Legislation passed in 2022 now allows IEC to hold its annual meeting registration via a drive-thru process. This allows more members to participate, as IEC has multiple drive-thru stations throughout its service area. In the past, in-person meetings were held in Cleveland, which was difficult for members in the outlying areas to attend. The annual meeting registration process enters members into drawings for several prizes, from bill credits to small appliances to the grand prize. IEC has awarded a retired fleet vehicle, UTVs and many other big prizes in the past.

The business session of the meeting includes the financial report, company outlook and allows members to vote on agenda items, including bylaws changes and seating of trustees.
